Cocktails from Classic Holiday Movies
Before the holidays arrive, we tune in to the screen moments that define the season: Clark Griswold clinking moose mugs of eggnog, Buddy the Elf drowning everything in maple syrup, and Ralphie dreaming under the glow of the leg lamp. Beyond the comedy and nostalgia, these cult classics are packed with winter drink inspiration just waiting to be brought to life.
Join us at Wigle Whiskey for an evening devoted to cocktails inspired by your favorite holiday movies. Our bar team will guide you through the lore, flavors, and mixology techniques behind drinks that pay homage to cinematic classics like National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, Elf, and A Christmas Story. You'll learn how to elevate nostalgic winter flavors—like rich cream, maple, festive spices, and cocoa—into balanced, sophisticated cocktails.
We'll build movie-themed drinks side by side using Wigle's own whiskeys and spirits. You'll taste how a bold rye stands up to rich, spiced eggnog, and how a smooth bourbon pairs with dark maple and citrus to create a cocktail Buddy himself would approve of. You'll learn how to balance heavy holiday sweetness with warmth and acidity, and how creative garnishes bring the cinematic theme to life in your glass. You'll leave with the recipes, skills, and confidence to host the ultimate movie-marathon cocktail party at home.
Whether you can quote every line of your favorite film or just love a playful, high-quality seasonal drink, this is a chance to slow down, sip, and celebrate the season.
